We're going the distance to bring better cancer treatments to New Zealand

Please help us to help the Malaghan Institute bring CAR T-cell therapy to New Zealand

The Malaghan Institute needs the help of us all - please be a part of that.

As you may know,  Nichola has multiple myeloma cancer. It's an incurable blood cancer. More specifically, it's a cancer of the plasma cells which are usually found in bone marrow.

We know a number of myeloma patients who have gone overseas for CAR T-cell therapy. Not everyone is in a position to do that, either physically or financially, as it costs hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The Malaghan are doing amazing work with their CAR T research programme, to make it safer and more accessible.

As a family, we want to help them with that. We not only do we want to help, we need to, because if Nichola was overseas, CAR T would be an option. Myeloma patients in NZ need that option too.

Every kilometre we complete and every dollar we raise will support the Malaghan Institute’s ENABLE-2 trial - a critical step toward making CAR T-cell therapy available in New Zealand’s public health system, close to home and whānau.

Please support our team if you can. Together, we can help bring this treatment home.
